78* and not very crowded

First Trip of the Year

With the past week behind us (back to work, back to school) we thought that a visit to Mickey and the gang was in order. This will be the first trip that I will try to blog "on the fly".

Spam, Spam, Spam....

So, I had to put a word verification process on the comments section of the blog to keep from getting spam. What is a word verification process? When you want to leave a comment, a window will pop up, and you will need to type in the word you see.

This is a sample screen.

What this does is prevent automated systems from adding comments to the blog, since it takes a human being to read the word and pass this step. I have been receiving bizarre (sometimes inappropriate) comments on the blog, and this should stop that from happening.

Sorry for the extra step, but it was necessary.

Happy New Year!

Here's to a GREAT 2010!!

New Year's Eve 2009

Jame and Jeremy came over to help ring , I mean ROCK in the new year. We played games (Apples to Apples and Cranium) ate way too many mozzarella sticks and tortilla chips, and of course, played a little The Beatles - Rock Band.

New Year's GOAL (not Resolution)

Based on the somewhat vocal feedback I have received regarding the frequency (or infrequency) of my blog posts (thanks Rob, Cindy Y., Char, Chris, and others) , my goal for the new year is at least to post twice a week. This is my GOAL - don't get cranky if I fail!

And no, 3 post in one day doesn't count as 3 for the week...

Stop Motion

Here is Jacob's first attempt at Stop Motion.

Nice job!

Traveling Back from Oregon

We made it back to sunny (ha!) California last night. We tooka bit of a side trip to Turtle Bay Exploration Park, as they were having an exhibit called THE ART OF THE BRICK. It is a very cool art exhibit featuring the work of Nathan Sawaya. It is ALL LEGO!!

All Lego!

The aptly named Circle Triangle Square sculpture.

Jennie had fun too!

We found a great little sandwich shop in Redding called Mr. Pickles - of course we had to stop!

Ms. Pickle, meet Mr. Pickle!
