Muddy Buddy 2008

Pre race - Looking Clean!

Well, I didn't die! Yea!!! Warren and I ran the 2009 Los Angles Muddy Buddy this morning. This is the same race that Teresa and I ran last year. Teresa was going to run it with me again, but she is nursing a bad ankle, so Warren stepped up to the pit!

Although it had been raining for the last day or so (I know- rain in Southern California...whod a thunk it?!), the course wasn't too muddy, and our time was only a minute slower than last year. I think that the athletic 16 year old really is the one who held me back :) . Here is a video highlight of the race - mostly the beginning and the mud pit.

Halloween 2008

Jacob and Jennie had a blast on Halloween this past week. They wore their costumes to school and Trick or Treating on Friday night.

A new Black Belt in the House

Jacob and Jennie had testing at Tae Kwon Do tonight. Jennie tested for her decided black belt (one belt below Black Belt) , and Jacob tested for his 1st degree Black Belt. Check out the clip

They both did AWESOME!

Jennie received her decided black belt, the final color belt before her 1st degree Black Belt. She is scheduled to test in February.

Jacob received his 1st degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. Now his training can truly begin.

A HUGE amount of the credit goes to Ann, who has taken the kids to Tae Kwon Do, twice a week, for almost 4 YEARS! She has been their biggest cheerleader and off the mat coach.

I am very proud of my entire family.

Lavender Blue - Jennie Dances at the Fall Festival

Braving temperatures in the high 40's, Jennie danced at the Palmdale Fall festival on Sunday.

Lombardi Ranch - It's Pumpkin Time!

We made our annual trek to Lombardi Ranch to get pumpkins today. Although it was kinda cold, the sun was out and the kids, as always, had a great time.

Jennie gets a Hit

The family went to Mulligan's on Friday night, and Jennie stepped into the batting cages for the first time.  Check out the reuslts (sorry for the shaky camera work - I used my cel phone)

House

Jacob worked on the show House today. He was part of, and I quote from the call sheet “...an adorable lower school chorus singing 'Joy to the World'." Well, check out the picture of Jacob in costume, and come to your own conclusion.

None of the main cast were involved in the shoot, but Jacob did take a picture with Meaghan Jette Martin from Disney's CAMP ROCK.

Jacob's episode is called Joy to the World, and should air around Christmas.

Mad Men - Two and a Half Men

We finally have proof that Jacob HAS been working on TV! The Mad Men episode Jacob worked on aired on August 30^th (sorry for the delay!) and the Two and a Half Men episode aired this past Monday.

I’ve grabbed some video and pictures from the shows – sorry for the low quality.

Also keep in mind – Jacob is not delivering the soliloquy from Hamlet. He is in the first couple of years of the ‘blink and you missed him’ school of acting.

Keep your eyes on the center of the scene, between Jon Hamm (in the blue shirt) and Matt McKenzie (in the white tennis clothes). Jacob is wearing a golden yellow shirt.

Episode 01: Taterhead is Our Love Child

Now, if you thought those were short, check this out.

When Charlie (Charlie Sheen) enters the door, Jacob can be seen on the far left hand side of the screen - for about 7 frames of video. Keep in mind - One second of video is made up of 30 frames!

So, after 2 years of working, here's what he has...about 2.1 seconds of screen time!

All kidding aside, Jacob has has, and continues to have a really good time working on the shows and movies . Ann, Jennie and I are very proud of him.

1,000 Lego!

Jacob's first project for the 4th grade was to bring something to class that repesented 1,000. Since this is Jacob we're talking about, he of course chose Lego.

So proud...and goofy too!
